Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar - Shikara Ride on Dal Lake

Welcome to Srinagar - The Summer Capital of Jammu & Kashmir. Upon arrival at Srinagar International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative with a traditional welcome. Transfer to your houseboat/hotel on Dal Lake/Nagin Lake. Check-in and freshen up. In the afternoon, enjoy a romantic Shikara ride on Dal Lake. Glide through the serene waters, pass by floating gardens, visit the famous Char Chinar Island, and witness the beautiful sunset over the lake. The Shikara ride offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and houseboats. In the evening, you may explore the local market near Dal Gate or simply relax in your houseboat enjoying Kashmiri Kahwa (traditional tea) with almonds and saffron. Day 2: Srinagar Sightseeing - Mughal Gardens & Shankaracharya Temple

After breakfast, embark on a full-day sightseeing tour of Srinagar. Begin with the famous Mughal Gardens - a trio of gardens built by Mughal Emperors. First, visit Shalimar Bagh (Abode of Love) built by Emperor Jahangir for his wife Noor Jahan. Next, visit Nishat Bagh (Garden of Joy) built by Asif Khan, brother of Noor Jahan. Then visit Chashme Shahi (Royal Spring), the smallest Mughal garden with a natural spring. After the gardens, proceed to Shankaracharya Temple (also known as Takht-e-Suleiman) located on a hilltop offering panoramic views of Srinagar and Dal Lake. Day 3: Srinagar to Gulmarg Excursion (52 km / 2 hrs)

After an early breakfast, proceed for a full-day excursion to Gulmarg - The Meadow of Flowers. The scenic drive takes you through beautiful countryside, pine forests, and small villages. Gulmarg (altitude: 2,650 m) is one of the most beautiful hill stations in India and a premier ski destination in winter. Upon arrival, take the famous Gondola Ride (Cable Car) - Phase 1 from Gulmarg to Kongdoori (included in package). The Gondola is one of the highest cable cars in the world offering breathtaking views of the snow-capped Himalayas. You may optionally take Phase 2 to Apharwat Peak (additional cost). After the Gondola ride, visit the Gulmarg Golf Course - one of the highest green golf courses in the world. After breakfast, check out from your Srinagar accommodation and proceed to Pahalgam - The Valley of Shepherds. En route, stop at Awantipura to see the ruins of two ancient Hindu temples built by King Awantivarman in the 9th century. Continue your journey through the beautiful countryside and arrive in Pahalgam (altitude: 2,130 m). Check into your hotel. After lunch (own expense), explore Pahalgam. Visit the Lidder River flowing through the town - you can enjoy a walk along its banks. Visit the Betaab Valley (named after the Bollywood film Betaab shot here) - a picturesque valley with crystal clear streams, lush green meadows, and snow-capped mountains. The drive takes you through beautiful landscapes, apple orchards, and along the Sindh River. Sonamarg (altitude: 2,800 m) is famous for its breathtaking beauty, alpine meadows, and glaciers. Upon arrival, enjoy the magnificent view of the surrounding Himalayan peaks. You can take a pony ride (optional) to the Thajiwas Glacier - a beautiful glacier surrounded by snow-covered mountains. Is Gulmarg Gondola ride included? What about Phase 2?

Yes, Gondola ride Phase 1 (from Gulmarg to Kongdoori) is included in the package. Phase 2 (from Kongdoori to Apharwat Peak) is not included and available at additional cost (approx. INR 700-900 per person). Phase 2 is subject to weather conditions and availability. In winter, Phase 2 may be closed due to heavy snowfall. Gondola tickets need to be booked in advance - we arrange them as part of the package.
