Upon arrival at Goa International Airport/Dabolim Airport, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your beach resort in North Goa. North Goa is known for its vibrant atmosphere, water sports, nightlife, and popular beaches. After check-in and some relaxation, head to Calangute Beach, often called the "Queen of Beaches." Take a leisurely walk along the shore, feel the sand between your toes, and witness your first Goan sunset. In the evening, explore the nearby markets and try some local Goan cuisine. You may visit a beach shack for fresh seafood and drinks. North Goa comes alive at night with music, lights, and a festive atmosphere.
After breakfast, begin your exploration of North Goa. Visit Baga Beach, famous for water sports like parasailing, jet skiing, and banana boat rides (optional at additional cost). Continue to Anjuna Beach, known for its rocky shoreline and Wednesday flea market (if your visit coincides). Next, visit Fort Aguada, a 17th-century Portuguese fort strategically built overlooking the Arabian Sea. The fort offers panoramic views and houses a lighthouse. Later, visit Candolim and Sinquerim beaches. You may also visit the Reis Magos Fort, one of the oldest forts in Goa. In the evening, explore the famous night markets or enjoy the nightlife at beach clubs and shacks. North Goa's energy is infectious!
After breakfast, proceed to Old Goa (Velha Goa), the former capital of Portuguese India and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus, which houses the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier. The basilica is a fine example of Baroque architecture. Next, visit Se Cathedral, one of the largest churches in Asia dedicated to St. Catherine. Continue to the Church of St. Francis of Assisi and the Archaeological Museum. Also visit the Church of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception in Panaji (Panjim), known for its magnificent staircase. Explore Fontainhas, the Latin Quarter of Panaji, with its colorful Portuguese-style houses. In the evening, you may take a cruise on the Mandovi River with cultural performances (optional).
After breakfast, check out from your North Goa resort and proceed to South Goa (approximately 1-1.5 hours drive). South Goa offers a more relaxed, serene atmosphere compared to the bustling North. On arrival, check into your beach resort. Visit Colva Beach, one of the oldest and most famous beaches in South Goa, known for its wide shoreline and water sports. Later, proceed to Benaulim Beach, a quieter option perfect for relaxation. In the evening, visit Palolem Beach, a crescent-shaped natural bay surrounded by coconut palms. Palolem is perfect for swimming, kayaking, or just relaxing in a beach shack. Enjoy a peaceful sunset away from the crowds. South Goa is ideal for those seeking tranquility.
After breakfast, visit Cabo de Rama Fort, named after Lord Rama. This fort offers spectacular cliff-side views of the Arabian Sea. Next, visit Butterfly Beach (accessible by boat or trek), known for its natural beauty and occasional dolphin sightings. You may also visit Agonda Beach, a quiet beach popular for turtle nesting. In the afternoon, you have leisure time to relax at your resort or explore local markets for souvenirs like cashew nuts, feni (local liquor), spices, and handicrafts. In the evening, experience a memorable sunset cruise (included) on the Arabian Sea with snacks and drinks. Watch the sun dip below the horizon painting the sky in orange and pink hues - a perfect end to your Goa holiday.
After breakfast, you have some free time for last-minute activities. You may take a dip in the sea, enjoy some water sports (optional), or do some final shopping. Goa is famous for its cashew nuts, spices, beachwear, handicrafts, and port wine. Later, depending on your flight schedule, you will be transferred to Goa International Airport for your onward journey. As you depart, take with you beautiful memories of sun-kissed beaches, Portuguese heritage, delicious seafood, vibrant markets, and the laid-back Goan lifestyle. Until next time, "Susegad" (Goan philosophy of relaxation)!
